Norton Utilities 14.5 1-User/3PC

Symantec’s Norton Utilities 14.5.0.116 is, as of this writing, the most current version of this software. WOW… what an improvement and a utility program that can work in the background and the computer doesn’t slow down!

Norton did some serious work at getting it’s utility programs into the 21st century and it shows it with new graphics and a sleeker look, but with new bells and whistles. I set my Norton Utility program to run in the background as the computer opens to give me an idea if I’m picking up errors from the net and this utility program does catch a lot of the adware and helps keep corruption down to a minimum.

Norton Utilities 14.5.0.116 can now do more than ever before and does it well, so well, in fact, that you can speed up your computer remarkably, just by getting rid of all the internet junk that builds up over time and defragging the registry is a great help… yes the registry along with disk defrag are two features that can help the average user. Along with registry clean-up can bring peace to a shaky computer.

Norton Utilities 14.5.0.116 has these features: Clean your registry, Manage your services, clean your disks, Manage your start-up, Defragment your registry, and Windows defragmenter.

With these features above you have entry windows into some powerful programming working to keep your computer working in tip-top fashion. Each of these windows have sub-categories that you can work to keep you system clean and working smoothly.

Norton has made it’s newest utility faster and far more easier to use. Of course, there are utilities with your computer, but some times they can leave the consumer scratching their heads as to what does what on the computer.

Symantec’s Norton Utilities 14.5.0.116 has programs not found or are very difficult to run on a standard computer. With this program you can pick and choose what programs you want to run. Norton Utility will let you know if you really want to do what you told it to… with a prompt and you can always go back and get hat you want back, if the need be.

Norton Utilities 14.5.0.116 works seamlessly and works in the background when the computer has some down time, making for efficient computer usage. If you are using Windows 7, this product WILL make your computer crash and require a FULL system recovery if you use the “Defrag Your Registry” feature.

I build, repair and maintain computers for quite a few clients. I have always recommended Norton Utilities. I know the product inside out. Trust me, you will REGRET using this product with Windows 7. Your computer WILL crash. Furthermore, Norton customer support is in TOTAL denial about this issue. Do NOT use it. Your computer WILL crash.

ANOTHER problem is: Even though there is no firewall in this product, the moment you install it, you will no longer be able to use the “Remote Assistance” feature in the maintainance folder of your Windows 7 Comp,. You will also not be able to use remote assistance that comes with Windows Live Messenger. Norton denies it, but I have done countless tests with countless users. When it is uninstalled, I can use remote assistance. When I reinstall it, you can NOT. What a pathetic product.

Norton should be ashamed of themselves to send this product to market.

I also got the blue screen of death on my desk top on windows 7 after trying to suppress my registry. I had to restore the system from my Recovery Disk. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR WINDOWS 7

My brand new laptop got the BSOD after installing and using this product. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use registry repair/clean-up/fix,etc type software.

Norton utilities ruined my once perfect laptop and symantec provided ZERO help over the situation. I was on the phone with them for over an hour, and finally the guy says “We’re really not qualified to help with these types of problems” – !!!!!!!

Reviews done at PC Magazine (professional reviewers) have shown that this product provides no benefit to your PC, and may in fact actually SLOW your computer down slightly.

It’s a waste of money and a gimmick product aimed at nothing but trying to make money. It provides no real benefit to your computer system and may potentially harm your computing environment.
